Vanadium–Titanium Magnetite Concentrate, Calcium–Magnesium Composite Roasting and Sulfuric Acid Leaching for Vanadium Extraction from Pellets

This paper investigated a pellet ore production process in which vanadium was extracted from and titanium magnetite concentrates using sulfuric acid leaching. Calcium magnesium were added to the iron concentrate during produce calcium vanadate after roasting. The pellets leached with solution extract V5+. resulting had compressive strength of 3375 N primary roasting, good morphology leaching, simple liquid–solid separation. Under optimal experimental conditions, leaching rate reached 77.86%, while only 1.17%. did not fragment, an improvement upon existing extraction methods. decreased 563 N, but secondary 2578 suitable for blast furnace ironmaking. roasting experiments showed that resulted properties. use low compound additives can effectively improve effect, avoiding previous problems too many additives, grade reduction, or pursuit high breakage serious costs.
